Short Sale: The bank accepts a payoff on the property less than the remaining balance. Save Your Good Name and Credit! Understand that banks do not have to accept a short sale but it's worth trying. There are two reasons we will not be able to help in most cases:
- If you are within 30 day's of your scheduled foreclosure sale date, there is not much time to assist with a short sale. Banks usually take two weeks or longer to even read the file submitted even after the government ruling requiring banks to respond in 10 days after receiving your short sale request.
- Lastly, if you are in a bankruptcy proceeding we will not be able to assist with a short sale.
